According to a recent survey conducted by LocalCircles, about 66 per cent of respondents said they didn’t shop during the recent online sale events.
LocalCircles is a community social media platform for citizens to discuss issues, find answers and solve problems.
More than 17,000 people from 211 districts in India participated in the survey. While 36 per cent of respondents stated that they visited the e-commerce sites to check out the sales but did not shop, 30 per cent maintained that they didn’t even browse through the sales.
It must be mentioned here that leading online firms Amazon and Flipkart recently organised Amazon Prime Day sale 2020 and Flipkart Big Saving Days sale 2020, respectively.
The survey underlined that almost 79 per cent people who shopped during the two big sales resorted to online shopping as they didn’t want to go out owing to COVID-19. At the same time, 11 per cent of the respondents shared that some good discount deals led them to indulge in online shopping.
Amazon India even hosted another sale event, Freedom Sale, which concluded on 11 August.
