Sanathan Textiles Ltd., an integrated manufacturer of polyester filament yarn, cotton yarn and technical textiles yarn, is set to double the technical textiles yarn manufacturing capacity at its Silvassa facility from 9,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 18,000 MTPA, with commercial production scheduled to begin in August.
The company said the expansion project is in its final phase of execution. Civil works have been completed and the required plant and machinery has already been installed. Commissioning of the expanded facility is expected next month.
The capacity addition is aimed at strengthening the company’s integrated manufacturing platform and enhancing its ability to cater to the growing demand for technical textiles across domestic and export markets.
The technical textiles yarn produced at the Silvassa facility is used in a range of high-value applications, including automotive, agriculture, defence, infrastructure, roads and railways, sportswear, healthcare, industrial safety, and protective wear such as fire-retardant garments.
Located close to key western ports, the Silvassa plant serves both domestic and international customers and complements the company’s manufacturing operations in Punjab.
The expansion comes as Sanathan Textiles reported improved financial performance in FY26. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations rose to Rs 3,037.9 crore from Rs 2,996.8 crore in FY25, while net profit increased 10 % year-on-year to Rs 191.9 crore, compared to Rs 174.5 crore in the previous fiscal.
