Garment manufacturing investments in the YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) region are gaining momentum, with recent investments including Sahu International Attire Pvt Ltd, which will invest Rs. 70 crore (US $7.34 million) to set up a ready-made garment manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh, according to an official statement issued by the Uttar Pradesh Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).
Earlier, Sabs Exports International announced an investment of more than Rs. 60 crore (US $6.29 million) to establish a new garment manufacturing unit in the notified area of YEIDA. The company specialises in the design-led manufacturing of premium smart-casual knitted garments, primarily focused on menswear along with selected womenswear categories.
The investments come as Uttar Pradesh pushes to strengthen its textile and apparel manufacturing ecosystem in the YEIDA region.
Additionally, a 150-acre Textile Park is being established in the Sector 29 region with investments exceeding Rs. 8,360 crore (US $877 million). The park is expected to house around 100 export-oriented units and is being planned on a cluster-based model to provide shared infrastructure and common services aimed at improving operational efficiency and productivity.
The location of the Apparel Park is considered strategically important due to its direct connectivity to the Yamuna Expressway and proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport, which is expected to support garment exports through faster and more cost-effective logistics.
The park will feature a Common Facility Centre (CFC) equipped with a design centre, training facilities, testing laboratories and quality control infrastructure. Export-oriented units will also receive research and development (R&D) and marketing support from the state government.
