Denim and textile manufacturer Jindal Worldwide Ltd. reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY ’27, with its consolidated net profit surging 85.8% year-on-year to Rs. 32.41 crore (US $3.39 million), compared with Rs. 17.44 crore (US $1.82 million) in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The company’s consolidated revenue from operations increased 2.7% to Rs. 554.72 crore (US $58.04 million) in Q1FY ’27 from Rs. 539.90 crore (US $56.49 million) a year earlier, while consolidated total income rose 5.6% to Rs. 572.96 crore (US $59.95 million) from Rs. 542.60 crore (US $56.77 million).
Profit before tax (PBT) climbed 74.5% to Rs. 39.72 crore (US $4.16 million) during the quarter, up from Rs. 22.76 crore (US $2.38 million) in Q1FY ’26. Earnings per share (EPS) nearly doubled to Rs. 0.32 from Rs. 0.17 in the year-ago period.
On a standalone basis, revenue from operations grew 18.9% year-on-year to Rs. 568.72 crore (US $59.50 million) from Rs. 478.34 crore (US $50.05 million), while standalone net profit stood at Rs. 14.79 crore (US $1.55 million).
The textiles business continued to be the company’s primary revenue contributor, generating Rs. 554.70 crore (US $58.04 million) during the quarter and supported by an asset base of Rs. 1,724.26 crore (US $180.40 million).
