As the 23rd edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions begins at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Dhaka, a significant boost for the textile and apparel industry is expected. A wide variety of products are on display throughout the four-day event, such as textile garment machinery, yarn, fabric, clothing, accessories, trims, dyestuff, and chemicals.
The expo, which was opened by Nasreen Jahan, the secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, is expected to increase chances for foreign investment in Bangladesh’s thriving textile industry. Jahan underlined that the occasion is an essential entry point for foreign businesses hoping to get into Bangladesh’s thriving textile and apparel manufacturing industry. It is anticipated that this action will strengthen Bangladesh’s position as a world leader in the textile supply chain.
In addition to showcasing the newest developments and technology in the sector, the exhibitions hope to strengthen bonds between industry participants. “Manufacturers and suppliers from all over the world can network at the shows, discover new business alliances, reach new markets, and keep up with developments influencing the global textile and clothing industry,” said Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global USA and Asia-Pacific.
The participation of prominent industry experts, such as Md Shahidul Islam from the Department of Textiles and Md Anwar Hossain from the Export Promotion Bureau, highlights the collaboration between many sectors to improve Bangladesh’s textile skills.
