
Hohenstein Institute Bangladesh has formed a relationship with Southeast University’s Department of Textile Engineering, taking an important step towards strengthening the textile sector. On Sunday, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the goal of developing the next generation of textile industry leaders through a variety of initiatives such as internships, training workshops, research, and development.
Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Hohenstein Group’s Regional Chief for Southeast Asia, and Prof. Engr. Mashud Ahmed, Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering and Acting Dean of Southeast University’s School of Science and Engineering, signed the MoU.
The Hohenstein Group, known for its student support efforts, expressed excitement about the relationship. This collaboration is projected to provide Southeast University students with invaluable hands-on experience, improve their skill sets, and enable meaningful contributions to the textile industry’s growth.
Notable attendees at the signing ceremony included Southeast University Vice Chancellor Prof. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Registrar Major General Kazi Fakruddin Ahmed (Retd.), and several faculty members. Hohenstein Bangladesh representatives such as Johny Yasmin Kanta, Aklima Khatun, and Md. Mayen were also in attendance.
As this collaboration progresses, both institutions are hopeful about its positive impact on the future of the textile sector, which will be driven by the trained and empowered individuals who emerge from it.
