
Several businesses affiliated with the Jamuna Group, a prominent business conglomerate based in Bangladesh, have successfully attracted international attention by taking part in the ‘Global Sourcing Expo-2024’, which took place in Sydney, Australia.
According to a press statement, more than 100 leading clothing firms from more than 20 nations and regions participated in the three-day event. According to the announcement, this event provided a forum for industry experts, suppliers, and buyers to unite under one roof for conversations, experience sharing, and product demonstrations to encourage creative thinking.
A variety of items were on show at the expo by Jamuna Group companies, including Hureen HTF Limited, Jamuna Denims, the clothing division, and Jamuna Denims Weaving Limited.
In this context, Sumaiya Rosalin Islam, Director of Jamuna Group and Managing Director of Hureen HTF Limited, stated, “It’s a new experience. We gained insights into the Australian market and created opportunities. Additionally, by showcasing high-quality products at this expo, we attracted international buyers and companies, aiming to represent Bangladesh.”
Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia M Allama Siddiki and Chief Executive of the organizing firm Marie Kinsella inaugurated the exhibition of Bangladeshi products at the Global Sourcing Expo.
Among others, the Consul General of Bangladesh in Sydney, Commercial Counsellor and other officers of the High Commission were present there.
Twice a year, Australia hosts a worldwide sourcing trade fair with exhibits in Sydney and Melbourne. More than 350 manufacturers and suppliers from all over the world come together for this well-known event.
