Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel (Freudenberg) has announced the global launch of the RCY 99xx series, a range of recycled polyester (rPET) shirt interlinings. This product line serves as the sustainable successor to Freudenberg’s 95xx series, a mainstay in the industry for over two decades.
The 95xx series, renowned for its unique bi-elastic properties, has long been one of Freudenberg’s most popular shirt interlining ranges. It has consistently delivered exceptional quality and performance, earning the trust of customers worldwide.
Made from rPET, these bi-elastic interlinings are designed to complement a variety of modern fabrics, including pure cotton, T/C, flannel, oxford, cotton & linen blends, seersucker, jersey, and all types of stretch knits. The RCY 99xx series maintains the natural hand feel, texture, and shape of these fabrics while adding a new creative dimension to shirt design.
With an impressive weight range of 30-150 g/m², the RCY 99xx series offers versatility for a wide array of shirt styles, including men’s casual shirts, women’s blouses, polo shirts, sports shirts, and denim shirts. This adaptability allows designers and manufacturers to meet evolving market demands while adhering to sustainability principles.
Freudenberg’s Apparel House of Sustainability (HoS) is dedicated to supporting customers in achieving their sustainability goals. By driving sustainable innovation and introducing new solutions each garment manufacturing season, the RCY 99xx series from HoS’s Recycled General Interlinings category exemplifies Freudenberg’s commitment to sustainable impact and continuous innovation.
