Two senior directors at Asos have stepped down amidst the fashion retailer’s ongoing restructuring efforts.
Stefan Pesticcio, the Menswear Product Director with 17 years of service, will leave at the year-end, while Brands Director James Barron departs this month, according to reports.
As of now, successors for these positions have not been appointed, with internal candidates under consideration. Tim Phipps, the Director of Sportswear and Outdoors, will oversee global brands temporarily.
Simultaneously, Alejandra Mur, founder and former CEO of Mango’s sustainable fashion brand Alter Made, joined Asos as the Director of Topshop, Topman, and venture brands. This new addition complements the promotion of Elena Martínez Ortiz from Womenswear Director to Senior Product Director.
An Asos spokesperson emphasised, “Refreshing our leadership team and culture was a core part of the strategy José (CEO José Antonio) set out last year and we’ve made these changes to align our organisational structure to our strategic priorities and to support our obsession with speed and execution of our Driving Change agenda.”
