
British clothing retailer Burberry’s Chief Operating and Financial Officer (CFO) is set to step down!
Julie Brown, the CFO, will be leaving the office at the close of current financial year, 1 April 2023.
The retailer is working towards identifying her successor and an official confirmation on the same will be announced in due course.
Julie, who will be exiting Burberry after 6 years, said that as a Group, Burberry has strengthened its brand and business and taken an industry-leading position in sustainability.
She added “I am particularly proud of our work to navigate Burberry through the pandemic, remaining true to our values and delivering transformational change across finance, IT, Burberry business services and responsibility.”
Thanking Julie for her significant contribution, Gerry Murphy, Chair, Burberry, said that Julie was successful in building a strong financial base for the next chapter of Burberry’s growth under CEO Jonathan’s leadership.
Founded in 1856, Burberry is a luxury fashion house headquartered in London. It currently designs and distributes ready to wear, including trench coats (for which it is most famous), leather goods, footwear and fashion accessories.
