
Chittagong-based T.K. Group with diverse business interests including textile manufacturing apart from vegetable oil, steel, shipbuilding, pulp and paper, plastics and cement has come forward to help a number of hospitals to treat patients infected with COVID-19.
As a part of its corporate social responsibility, the Group on Friday donated over 20 ventilator machines to Surgiscope Hospital, Chittagong Medical College, Chittagong Field Hospital, Parkview Hospital and Chittagong General Hospital for treating patients infected with COVID-19.
Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Elius Hussain at an event held on Friday handed over the medical equipment to the officials of the concerned hospitals.
The event was presided over by Mohammad Mofassel Haque, Marketing Director of T. K. Group and attended by Mohammad Elius Hussain as the chief guest, Civil Surgeon of Chittagong Dr. Shaikh Fazle Rabbi, officials and employees of the concerned hospitals and T. K. Group amongst others.
The number of people infected with coronavirus increasing by the day, Managing Director of T. K. Group, Mohammad Abul Kalam took this initiative to help the hospitals take better care of the patients and provide emergency medical support.
