adidas is all set to launch the world’s first personality-based AI-generated avatar creation platform by partnering with Ready Player Me – a cross-app avatar platform.
The collaboration helps adidas allow digital characters to travel the metaverse across 1,500 apps and games. The initiative is part of the marketing strategy for adidas’ new Ozworld footwear collection based on self-expression and individuality.
When users create an avatar on the Digital Ozworld Experience, they have to answer a series of questions. These include their favourite item of the Ozworld collection. The information is used to shape a unique caricature that takes inspiration from the collection’s visual codes and the users’ preferences.
By generating avatars based on a questionnaire instead of using typical process of a user manually designing their virtual look, the new experience takes a unique approach that aligns with the Ozworld shoe collection’s themes of self-expression and style experimentation.
