At a time when every consumer has become sustainably conscious while buying a product, leading thread producer/supplier Madeira has yet again shown its commitment to sustainability.
The thread maker has announced the launch of two new high-quality environment-friendly embroidery threads.
While Sensa Green is a completely new, innovative yarn made from 100 per cent lyocell fibres with outstanding eco-friendliness all over the entire value chain, Polyneon Green is a brand new premium quality recycled polyester embroidery yarn from post-consumer waste.
Sensa Green starts with cellulose, a renewable resource obtained from trees grown in sustainably managed forests, which is transformed into biodegradable lyocell fibres.
An award-winning closed-loop production process ensures that the water and organic solvents used to create them are almost entirely reused. These fibres are then transported short distances for spinning and dyeing and turned into thread.
Notably, the ‘sensationally soft to the touch’ Sensa Green is perfect for embroidery on eco-fashions, outerwear, sports apparel, undergarments, babywear or home decor.
The first coloured TENCELTM Lyocell machine embroidery thread on the market, Sensa Green is available in 144 silky-matte colours, which give a natural look to every logo or design digitised for standard 40 weight threads.
Spun and dyed exclusively in Germany, Sensa Green has a low carbon impact due to shorter transportation cycles and is certainly one of the most sustainable threads on the market.
Importantly, the fully recyclable Sensa Green is also certified with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, Annex 6, product class I.
