Harvey Nichols gets its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). And they didn’t have to search too far!
The British apparel and fashion retailer has promoted its COO Manju Malhotra as the new CEO with immediate effect.
Manju has been the COO at Harvey Nichols since 2018 along with Daniela Rinaldi, who left the retailer last year. Manju will now report to the owner and Chairman Sir Dickson Poon.
In her new role as CEO, Manju will not only be responsible for all of Harvey Nichols’ e-commerce business, where sales have risen more than twice in last 2 years, but will also be accountable for Group’s stores in the UK and across the globe.
Expressing delight over the promotion of Manju, Sir Dickson Poon said that Manju has, in last 22 years, repeatedly showcased her ability in finance.
He added that this year in particular, amidst the pandemic menace, she showed her leadership skills in building strategies and optimising business performance.
Manju had joined Harvey Nichols in 1998 as an internal audit manager and was then promoted as Group Finance Director in 2010 before becoming Co-COO in 2018.
Based in London, UK, Harvey Nichols was founded in 1831 and is majorly known for selling fashion collections for men and women.
