Joining the growing list of trade shows and fashion events being cancelled as the pandemic seems to have no end in sight, is Kingpins.
The denim supply chain trade show has announced the cancellation of its September edition China City Tour due to ongoing travel restrictions and health concerns.
Kingpins conveyed in a statement that while many nations across the world have begun to open their doors and many of the event’s partners in China have returned to normalcy, international exhibitors do not want to risk travelling right now.
Slated to take place from 2 to 4 September in the cities of Guanzhou and Hangzhou, Kingpins will also forgo Kingpins24, the digital event planned for the Chinese market.
In fact other editions like the Amsterdam event scheduled for October have also been cancelled.
Managing Director, Kingpins, Vivian Wang, said “The Chinese market is very interesting to Kingpins and the global denim market, but we don’t have the technology or capacity to produce a digital event for China just yet. It is something we are exploring – not just for China, but for the whole world – and we hope to be able to share some good news in that respect soon.”
