
Trevira, a European manufacturer of high-value branded polyester fibres and filament yarns, together with partners from the sector launched a far-reaching initiative to promote the home textile market in German speaking areas this summer. With the foundation of the Initiative Textile Räume, companies in the fabric and home textiles sector aim to set a clear market. In order to give fresh stimulus to the sector that has been stagnating for years and to boost the sales of furnishing textiles, there is to be for the first time a joint, large-scale communication offensive, directed primarily at the end user, but also including the contract market, the company reports. Over the coming weeks the aim is for the initiative to also gain members among foreign suppliers active in the German speaking regions. The official start for the campaign is planned for the beginning of 2015.
