Catering to the growing need of technology of apparel manufacturers, CAD/CAM solution provider Tukatech showcased the latest version of its CAD solution, along with TUKAcloud, which enables the vendors to upload their 3D garments to their buyer’s profiles, with an option to include the TUKAcad pattern file, TUKA3D e-fit file, videos and images for fit analysis and of all the colourways, measurement charts, and even tech packs. “By introducing TUKAcloud, we expect to bring down the sample development time from what used to be 45 to 60 days, to a bare minimum of 5 to 7 days,” informed Sameer Pauriyal, Vice President-Asia, Tukatech. The Indian manufacturers have also become pretty receptive to technology adoption, with not only technologies such as CAD/CAM, but also 3D sample making catching up in the market, added Sameer.
Tukatech also recorded an increase in the number of installations of their softwares, with around 30 installations being done every year, which used to be just 4 to 5, earlier. “We have been trying to bring the Indian apparel manufacturers up to date on the technological platform since the past 15 years,” avers Sameer. The company has been focusing on educating more number of students about their software range, as they feel that they are the ones who bring about major changes in the industry, eventually.
