
Mastercard, a global payment and technology company, unveils new suite of frictionless shopping with the launch of Shop Anywhere and AI Powered Drive.
The solutions are applicable for any retail environment including shopping malls, airports, grocery stores and apparel outlets and delivers low-touch and high-engagement experience.
The Shop Anywhere platform integrated with technologies like AI and computer vision has been created in collaboration with Accel Robotics, a 360-degree visual intelligent platform intended to improve customer experience.
The solution allows the retailer to deliver a personalised shopping experience in store based on consumers’ shopping history while ensuring the privacy.
The solution offers customers a frictionless shopping experience therefore increasing the speed of shopping journey and eliminating the need to stand in the waiting and checkout lines.
It can also enable the retailers to give their shoppers access to the store outside the normal opening hours and can be chosen to offer unique and exclusive merchandise.
While the AI Powered Drive Through platform launched in partnership with SoundHound Inc. and Rekor Systems can help the retailers in the drive thru or drive-in interaction through vehicle recognition, voice ordering and artificial intelligence.
The solution can serve the purpose of a fast-food and quick-serve restaurant. Integrated with AI, the solution helps in personalising the shopping experience based on historical purchasing.
Mastercard has already collaborated with the leading retailers, sport, entertainment and hospitality including Circle K, Delaware North, Dunkin’ and White Castle for the implementation of the technology. The company will start the live pilot platform with several retail partners beginning in October 2020.
