StyleScan, the Los Angeles-based fashion-technology start-up, will finally emerge from its stealth mode and make debut in the business-to-business market.
The company has started a round of pre-Series A funding, which will be used for the company’s growth dependent on StyleScan’s proprietary technology.
The technology uses machine learning to create Posner called a visualisation AI service that is set to disrupt the traditional catalogue photoshoot.
The brands associated with the company send the picture of their models to StyleScan.
The technology then uses algorithm to dress the models in any outfit that are digitised. The garments are displayed in 3D and can be used on diverse models. Using the technology, the models need to be shot only once and different outfits can be displayed on their avatar.
Without the technology, a lot of companies use Photoshop to dress models, which does not give real effects to the output.
The latest technology can help the brands and retailers save their time and investment that is required in the traditional photoshoot.
