Distil.ai, a customer data platform for e-commerce businesses, has successfully raised £ 1.1 million in a funding round. The new capital infusion will allow the Exeter-based company to enhance its platform and expand its sales and marketing team, enabling it to scale its business operations.
The company leverages AI and machine learning-powered data tools to optimise customer engagement. Its platform collects buying signals and behavioural data from various digital platforms and consolidates it into a single customer view. Customers are then categorised into segments, enabling businesses to focus their marketing efforts on those that generate the best results.
The platform also provides valuable insights and recommendations to sellers. It offers guidance on improving marketing strategies, identifies top-selling products, suggests adjustments to product ranges, assesses the effectiveness of sales strategies, and predicts target achievement. Additionally, Distil.ai can provide informed recommendations on discounting strategies and promotions.
The company has developed its own Shopify app, allowing businesses selling through Shopify to try its platform for free. It also has plans to launch apps for other online marketplaces.
Gerry McNicol, the founder of Distil.ai, expressed the company’s passion for the power of data and the need for businesses to evolve their approach to data management to harness its full potential. McNicol stated that Distil.ai’s mission is to empower businesses by utilising data to guide their strategies, enhance marketing efforts, and increase profits. With the support of its partners in this funding round, Distil.ai aims to accelerate the transition toward a more insightful and efficient future.
