In collaboration with M&S, renowned SaaS company, Bodi.Me, has developed a bespoke sizing tool specifically for the retailer’s new gender-neutral staff uniforms. This revolutionary technology, known as Size-Me 3.0, leverages the power of data and AI to provide a universal fit solution applicable to all fashion collections, including gender-neutral pieces.
Gender-fluid designs are on every catwalk but the issue of sizing gender-neutral garments remains a challenge. In turn, this leads to high return rates which are costly from both a monetary and sustainability perspective, hence to ease the problems many solutions are floating in the market of which one is Bodi.Me’s sustainable solutions.
What sets this software apart is its utilisation of high-quality data from over 350,000 3D body models, incorporating cutting-edge AI and the latest machine learning (ML) techniques through proprietary algorithms to provide accurate size and fit recommendations based on just a few simple questions.
It employs touch-free body measurements, eliminating the need for intrusive wearer photos or body scans, and ensures that all data remains entirely confidential. This intuitive interaction enables precise size recommendations for every garment within Incorporatewear’s extensive new gender-neutral uniform range for M&S.
Lara Mazzoni, CEO and co-founder of Bodi.Me, stated, “Size-Me is a ground-breaking, precise and adaptable platform. Its USP is its outstanding capability to accurately predict sizes for individuals, thereby drastically reducing the return rate and the accompanying environmental impact. By working closely and collaboratively with Incorporatewear and M&S, we were able to meticulously craft a technology solution that aligned perfectly with M&S’s core corporate values of inclusivity, gender-neutrality and sustainability.”
Suzanne Gardiner, Marks and Spencer Store Services Manager, commented, “At M&S we are constantly looking at new technology and how it can improve the experience for customers and colleagues alike. We partnered with Bodi.Me and Incorporatewear on our latest rollout for Clothing And Home uniform to make ordering for our colleagues easier and more accurate in terms of sizing. By adding the Bodi.Me sizing technology to our web ordering portal we saw a reduction in returns for ‘fit’ reasons which meant a reduction in cost and an improved experience for our colleagues.”
