It is always enjoyable to visit Texprocess and this year also I thoroughly enjoyed the experience meeting old friends and colleagues from the industry. I have shared many of my observations with my readers, you will be happy to know that the vibes were positive and the participants were celebrating innovation. Most exhibiting companies had “Made in Europe for Europeans” agenda showcasing automats meant for advanced markets where ROI is affected by the manpower and the entire thrust is to reduce manpower. Also the show gave ‘Fusion Fashion’ a new meaning with all those fabric bonding technologies on display. What brought me personal happiness is the aerodynamic and contoured look and feel of the new sewing machines, far removed from the drab old uninspiring machines that we all are used to. For details read Texprocess: Europe at its Happy Best… Also featured in this edition are the much applauded home textile manufacturing facility of Sarita Handa Exports, and the amalgamation of advancements in apparel manufacturing technologies with a highly embroidered and value added home textile made-ups. This issue also carries the 2nd article of the new series by Mausmi Ambastha on the importance of Roll Allocation and the certain savings it offers.
