On our first visit to Bangladesh way back in 2012 at the launch of Apparel Online magazine, we endorsed the synergy between India and Bangladesh and our editorial was captioned Complement rather than Compete, and after a gap of almost 12 years, we are thrilled that BGMEA President Faruque Hassan talked about the need for India-Bangladesh collaboration and his words were Collaborate rather than Compete while our team met him in Dhaka.
It’s not just the traditional strongholds but rather the non-conventional markets, increase of apparel export in which, has added a new dimension in Bangladesh’s growth trajectory. India too played a role in this.
