It is a pleasure to present to you the latest edition of Apparel Online India with a ‘Market Update’ on Europe. The statistical reading of total European apparel imports over the last year and first four months of this year shows that the imports were steady, and the same is true for the overall export of India to the EU, meaning that in real terms it has been stagnated due to the slowdown in apparel uptake and overall retail scenario in Europe. Europe being the biggest market for Indian exporters, this downslide is impactful. It is the primary reason that many of the exporters who are working mostly with Europe are now looking at shifting focus to other markets.
