Following their initial collaboration with the ‘Explorer Puff Jumper Denali’ jackets in 2020, Japanese clothing brands, Nonnative and WILD THINGS have reunited, this time transforming WILD THINGS’ ‘PERTEX Denali Jacket’ silhouette into two GORE-TEX infused models under the ‘Explorer Puff Jumper’ line. While the jackets share exterior similarities, a closer examination reveals distinct differences in their craftsmanship, offering waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable attributes.
Named ‘Explorer Puff Jumper ‘Denali’ Poly Taffeta GORE-TEX 2L’ and ‘Explorer Puff Jumper ‘Denali’ Poly Taffeta GORE-TEX PACLITE 2.5L,’ these jackets diverge in their fabric composition. The ‘Poly Taffeta GORE-TEX 2L’ has a double-layered outer shell, while the ‘Poly Taffeta GORE-TEX PACLITE 2.5L’ employs a two-and-a-half-layer sprayed fabric construction.
Both versions integrate COMBAT by CLIMASHIELD lining, ensuring protection and insulation in harsh weather conditions. Additionally, co-branding embellishes the sleeves, complemented by a Velcro patch on the left arm. The color palette offers the ‘2L’ in beige and navy hues, while the ‘2.5L’ presents in royal blue, forest green, and black.
The jackets become available on 1st January 2024, at COVERCHORD’s webstore, followed by availability on 3rd January 2024, at Nonnative’s webstore. Accompanying the release is a striking lookbook featuring models showcasing the jackets in their intended outdoor settings.
