The approaching Spring/Summer 2026 season sees earthy sophistication take centre stage with khaki and moss-toned greens emerging as the defining palette across categories. Anchored in the language of nature yet elevated through contemporary form, this colour family was embraced by designers for its adaptability across both relaxed and refined silhouettes. Its appeal lies in its ability to bridge utilitarian ease with quiet luxury – an evolution of the ongoing consumer desire for grounded minimalism expressed through tactile richness and functional layering.
Cecilie Bahnsen made a strong case for technical fabrics that were reimagined through a poetic lens: a black hooded tunic paired with a moss-green skirt in stenciled textures, accessorised with a coordinating rubber backpack and sneakers that epitomised the merging of craftsmanship with urban practicality. Balmain, on the other hand, channeled the hue’s sensual strength through a slouchy, ribbed off-shoulder knit in moss green, styled with voluminous olivesilk harem pants and moss suede boots – imbuing military references with decadent ease. Meanwhile, Chloé offered a softer, bohemian take on the trend with a voluminous
moss-green anorak featuring D-ring fastenings and a tucked under bubble hem, layered over a camel skirt with a side bow and a sand-hued blouse – an ensemble that spoke to desert wanderlust reinterpreted for the city.
Across the international runways, we saw Khaki Green emerge not simply as a neutral, but as a statement of modern balance, one that is rooted in nature and refined by texture.
