
More than half a million people shopped fashion online in Spain during the month of July this year, as per the study conducted by a research company GfK.
The company used its consumer wallet tool to analyse the personal finances of over 180,000 internet users in Spain while selecting fashion chains such as ZARA, Kiabi, Pull&Bear, C&A, Zalando, ASOS, Desigual, Cortifiel, Promod, Massimo Dutti and Deichmann.
About 520.000 Spaniards, who purchased fashion online in Spain last July, placed 686.111 orders, spending a total of Euro 39.8 million. The report pointed that an average order in this segment totalled Euro 56.6, while the online fashion shopper in Spain spent on average Euro 77.

It may be noted that the online fashion sales from big department stores and hypermarkets were excluded. “Because in order to determine the fashion sales of these players, we would’ve needed to cross other data sources,” explains report.
In the report, fashion retailer ZARA came out to be the most popular shopping destination by welcoming over 253,000 customers followed by ASOS with 105,000 buyers. Zalando and Pull&Bear are other popular online fashion destinations for Spanish consumers.
