India’s leading textile companies Bhilwara-based RSWM Ltd., and Nahar Spinning Mills have proposed to invest Rs. 850 crore and Rs. 580 crore respectively in the Dhar PM MITRA park. There are a few more companies that will be investing in the same park.
Overall the park is supposed to attract an investment of around Rs. 6,850 crore
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the State and Centre Governments regarding this park. This park in MP is expected to generate more than 25,000 jobs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted about the park.
Addressing the event Union Minister of Textiles, Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said that there are three-fold benefits of PM MITRA parks.
Besides plug-and-play infrastructure and easier clearances related to the environment and other municipal approvals, the ministry will give Rs. 500 crore to the SPV and the early birds will get an incentive of Rs. 300 crore.
