Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed, the Managing Director of Saiham Cotton Mills Limited, has been elected as a Director of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA). This election marks a significant milestone in his career and a testament to his contributions to the textile industry.
Under Ahmed’s leadership, Saiham Cotton Mills Limited has established itself as a producer of high-quality yarns, gaining recognition in the international market. The company’s facility, located in Noyapara, Madhabpur Upazila, Habiganj District, employs advanced technology and top-quality raw materials to ensure the production of superior yarn.
Ahmed, the son of Syed Md. Faisal, holds a degree in Engineering from Michigan, USA, and an MBA with a specialisation in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka. His extensive experience spans the technical, marketing, and financial sectors of business, positioning him as a valuable asset to the BTMA.
Established in 1983, the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association operates as a non-profit organization registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies under the Companies Act of 1994. The association is overseen by a Board of Directors comprising 27 members, alongside three vice presidents and one president, dedicated to supporting and promoting the interests of the textile industry in Bangladesh.
