The help ease the travelling of garment workers for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, later this month, Bangladesh Government has decided to run a special train for the readymade garment (RMG) workers between Gazipur’s Joydebpur to Panchagarh district for five days even as the train special train will run for three days from 18th April to 20th April before Eid day and two days after Eid, i.e. from 24th April to 25th April, on the route.
This is as per media reports, which added the Dhaka Divisional Manager of Bangladesh Railway (BR), Mohammad Safiqur Rahman, announced the decision at a press conference held recently in Joydebpur Railway Junction even as he reportedly claimed the train carrying the apparel workers will leave the Joydebpur station at 7 pm every day and reach Panchagarh’s Bir Muktijoddha Sirajul Islam Station around 5:25 am while on the other hand, the special train will arrive at the Joydebpur Station at 3:45 pm after leaving the Panchagarh station at 6 am on the same day.
