Delhi-NCR is a garmenting hub, which is growing consistently; this was also proved in the Annual Top 100 Exporter Survey of Apparel Online in which 38 companies were from this region. Apart from the top companies, many medium level companies are adding capacities and moving ahead like eleven-year-old Senor Exports, Delhi, which has recently added a new factory of 120 machines in Naraina Industrial area, and now it has a total of 260 machines.
Producing ladies garments with the average FOB of US $ 3-4, it was exporting earlier only to Spain, France and Italy, but now it has added Latin America and Russia also to its profile. “We are working mostly with direct buyers and majority of them are chain stores. Last year, we saw almost 80 per cent growth and we are expecting almost to follow the same this year too,” informed Sharad Dhingra, Director, Senor Exports in a recent conversation with Apparel Online.
