Rashedul Hasan Rintu has been elected as the new President of the Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 2024-2026 term. The election, conducted on 21st December, 2024, followed the Trade Organisations Rules of 1994, and Rintu was declared the winner by the Election Board on 30th December 2024, as there were no opposing candidates for the position.
Rintu brings an abundance of experience to his new role, having served as a former Director of the Narsingdi Chamber and as President of the Chowala Textile Crafts Owners Association. He is also the proprietor of Manchester Composites and Arham Malti Trading. Recognised for his significant contributions to both the industrial and social sectors.
In his acceptance speech, Rintu outlined his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by traders in the region. He emphasised the importance of this election as a chance to rectify past inequalities and promote the interests of Narsingdi’s business sector. He called for collaboration among all stakeholders and pledged to dedicate his efforts towards solving traders’ issues and enhancing the Chamber’s role in driving economic development.
