India’s textile major Vardhman Textiles Ltd. noted surge in profit by 37.27 per cent in the first quarter of the current fiscal to touch Rs. 145.57 crore mark, compared to around Rs. 106 crore in the same period last year. In the period under review, the company’s net sales stood at Rs. 1,640.77 crore, down 2.26 per cent against Rs. 1,678.74 crore.
Established in 1965, Vardhman Group is involved in manufacturing and trading in yarn, greige and processed fabric, sewing thread, acrylic fibre, etc.
