On 13th December 2013, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour submitted its report on Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill 2012, marking a significant milestone for Child Rights organizations across India. This is a result of more than a decade of collaborative efforts between the Global March against Child Labour and its partner organizations to completely abolish child labour in India. The amendments proposed in the Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2012 by Global March have also been included by the committee in its report that was put forward in the Parliament.
