
A high-value garment manufacturer, especially for European markets, H.R Textile is planning to enhance its capacity in sustainable production while also add a variety of new products.
This is as per media reports, which underlined that H.R Textile, which is a sister concern of the Pride Group (a leading apparel exporter in Bangladesh), will invest around Taka 80 crore in this direction, raising the funds from the capital markets with zero-coupon bonds even as it went on to add that as per the projection of the board of directors of the concerned entity, the new facility will increase its annual turnover to Taka 365 crore from current Taka 225 crore, while also help create around 1,500 fresh jobs above the current employment of about 2,500 people at H.R Textile.
We plan to expand our capacity in sustainable production as global buyers are moving towards more environment-friendly products in terms of consumption of water, energy and chemicals, reportedly, maintained H.R Textile Director Professor Mohammad Abdul Momen, also a Director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), and went on to further add that in this regard, the textile factory has a plan to convert its existing chemical ETP into a biological ETP to make it more environment-friendly.
There are plans to implement some latest technologies and install latest machinery to make it more efficient production centre, reportedly, added Professor Mohammad Abdul Momen.
