Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen reassured that there is no cause for concern regarding the Presidential Memorandum on Advancing Worker Empowerment, Rights, and High Labor Standards Globally released by the United States earlier this month.
Media reports maintained this adding according to Momen, Bangladeshi products continue to access the US market due to their quality, competitive pricing, and punctual delivery.
Expressing confidence in the intelligence and dynamism of Bangladeshi exporters, Momen stated, “I have faith in our dynamic private sector. There is nothing to worry about.”
He emphasised that the US private sector purchases Bangladeshi products because of their high quality, affordability, and timely delivery, highlighting that the presence of various Chinese products in US stores further supports this trend.
Highlighting the significance of the US market for readymade garments (RMG) exports, Momen underscored that the private sector plays a pivotal role in both exporting from Bangladesh and importing into the United States.
