The French textile and garment association (Evalliance) signed an agreement with the Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia (GMAC) to support the Cambodian textile and garment industry. As per the agreement, multi-year project of Euro-Cambodian cooperation in the textile, apparel and fashion industries will be introduced with objectives like increasing the Cambodian clothing exports to the EU, speed up the conversion of the competitive sector towards activities with higher added value, allowing companies to become Cambodian joint contractors of Europe, encourage investment and presence of European firms in Cambodia, and improve the conditions of the sector in the country.
