The much-awaited 9th National SME Product Fair-2021 has kick-started!
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday (5 December) virtually inaugurated the 8-day event at Dhaka’s Bangabandhu International Conference Center.
Entrepreneurs cannot participate in the fair with foreign products, stated SME Foundation Chairman Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman, adding 10 banks and financial institutions offering SME loans are also participating in the fair and will provide necessary information to the entrepreneurs for getting SME loans even as reports citing Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman underlined apart from entrepreneurs, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation, Brac Bank, Eastern Bank, Bank Asia, Janata Bank, Dhaka Bank, and Mutual Trust Bank, Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center, Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution, Jute Diversification Promotion Centre, Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and Dhaka Stock Exchange have joined the fair.
Around 311 organisations are participating in the fair with 325 stalls, 60 per cent of which belong to women entrepreneurs this year, as per reports.
