Bangladesh is all set to impose a 7-day strict lockdown from 14 April, during which all Government & private offices and factories would remain closed.
Media reports maintained this citing the State Minister for Public Administration in this regard while adding only the emergency services will remain in operation while no vehicles will be allowed to run and RMG factories will also remain closed.
No one will be allowed to move from one place to other (without proper cause), reportedly, maintained Farhad Hossain (State Minister for Public Administration) even as he went on to add that Army will not be deployed to enforce the same.
A gazette notification in this regard is, reportedly, set to be issued soon even as a decision to impose the 7-day strict lockdown was, reportedly, taken following recommendations of the National Technical Advisory Committee for COVID-19, which suggested at least two-week complete lockdown to tackle the worsening coronavirus situation in the country.
