Sk Bashir Uddin, a commerce adviser, promised to provide Japanese businesspeople and entrepreneurs who were interested in investing in Bangladesh with all the assistance they needed.
Speaking as the main speaker at a seminar on “Investment Promotion” at a Tokyo hotel, he made the pledge while urging Japanese merchants and entrepreneurs to increase their investments in Bangladesh, especially in the valuable RMG industry.
According to him, Japan is both Bangladesh’s biggest development partner overall and a highly reliable friend. He expressed gratitude to the Japanese Government for its ongoing assistance and collaboration in Bangladesh’s development.
The Japan External Trade Organisation, Japan International Cooperation Agency, and BIDA organised the seminar together. Over a hundred Japanese businesspeople and entrepreneurs attended the conference.
In the meantime, Ogushi Masaki, Japan’s state minister of economics, trade, and industry, met with commerce adviser Sk Bashir Uddin to go over the Public-Private Economic Dialogue, bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation agreements in detail, especially towards the RMG industry in Bangladesh.
During the discussion, the Japanese state minister was asked by the trade adviser to take action to encourage more Japanese businesses to invest in Bangladesh.
Bashir claimed that because the Bangladesh Single Window was established in the nation to offer investors quick access to services, the country currently had a good business climate. The Japanese investors should use this service, he said.
The trade adviser was also urged by the Japanese state minister to move quickly to finalise the economic partnership agreement. During the discussion, the state minister and the adviser both stated how eager they were to collaborate in order to improve bilateral trade.
