China’s garment manufacturing industry has registered a significant growth in operating revenue in the first two months of this year, as per official data of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The data shows, from January to February, the country’s 13,042 major apparel companies raked in a total of US $ 32 billion, up 12.20 per cent Y-o-Y.
The total profits of these companies rose 5 per cent on Y-o-Y basis to US $ 1.38 billion, with the combined output expanding 1.40 per cent year-on-year to 4.14 billion pieces.
The data further showed that, of total industrial output, China’s apparel and accessory exports have jumped by 6.10 per cent to US $ 25.46 billion in Jan.-Feb. ’22 period.
