
The Posts and Telecommunications Division in Bangladesh has drafted a law titled, ‘Mailing Operator and Courier Service Development and Regulatory Authority Law 2022’ and this has emerged as a concern for the logistics companies operating in the country.
Media reports maintained this while adding the industry people are of the opinion if this law gets passed, it will severely damage the courier service/logistics industry in Bangladesh, which is a booming one.
Reports citing market players further added the Government has formulated a draft law to regulate logistics companies, which will establish stiff control and impede growth in the industry even as they, reportedly, claimed the draft law introduced monetary fines and prison terms for almost every infraction and enlists vindictive political statements as banned items.
