Hosted by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) with the aim of creating new opportunities for trade and investment by showcasing Bangladesh’s economic potential before a global audience, the Bangladesh Business Summit will kick off tomorrow at Dhaka’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
Expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in presence of Salman F Rahman, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on private industry and investment, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, the event, organised as a part of the FBCCI’s 50th founding anniversary celebrations, will highlight the success stories that have set the foundation for the country’s sustainable growth, underlined FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin.
The summit will also reportedly witness the participation of Ministers from seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, UK, UAE, Bhutan and China along with more than 200 foreign investors and business leaders from across the globe.
