ASBM Industrial Plc has signed a partnership with PIA (The Industrial Platform of Adetikopé), Togo.
Notably, ASBM Industrial is one of the leading garment and textile manufacturers in Ethiopia, and is specialised in spinning, weaving, knitting, processing and garmenting.
Based on a public-private partnership between the Republic of Togo and ARISE IIP, launched in 2021, PIA is the state-of-the-art industrial park in Togo.
Through this partnership, the leading manufacturer will be able to launch a spinning and knitting factory in the industrial zone for the production of cotton yarn and knitwear.
The company will increase its initial production capacity from 15 to 30 tonnes per day,and will synergise the advantages offered by PIA with its expertise in the textile field.
In a statement, PIA said that it was honoured to welcome its Ethiopian partner, Abiy Gidey from ASBM Industrial Plc to proceed with the signing of a partnership with its textile industry.
“We look forward to building a strong partnership with ASBM Industrial Plc. with the aim of sharing their expertise in Togo,” it said.
It is worth mentioning here that Togo’s PIA Park is attracting apparel manufacturing from various countries.Recently, India-based ITCRmg announced to invest US $ 35 million and set up 750 flat knitting machines in ‘PIA’ Park (The Industrial Platform of Adetikopé), Togo.
