This time, Chairman of AEPC has to be from the Western Zone and there are three names from this zone to elect for EC (Executive Committee) – Ashok Rajani; Raju Goenka, MD, Texport Syndicate (India) Ltd.; and Rishi Rajani, Director of Biharilal Fashions. And Ashok appears to be the most experienced amongst all three. When Team Apparel resources approached Ashok Rajani, he informed, “Yes, I too have heard the same but would not like to comment anything on it.” It would be interesting to see if any other name too comes up, otherwise Rajani is the most favourite as of now.
A senior member of EC, AEPC shared, “Main task of AEPC is export promotion and Rajani is an expert in this so I would like to support him as the new Chairman. I don’t see anybody else will challenge his name in tomorrow’s AGM as already there is lot of excitement prevailing for the elections of EC Member from North.”
Lalit Thukral, President, Noida Apparel Export Promotion Cluster says, “Ashok Rajani is a reasonable, responsible and experienced person in export fraternity and in my personal opinion he is the most deserving candidate. It will be good for AEPC if he becomes the new Chairman.”
