With India being one of the top three markets for Italy’s textile machinery exports, an Italian textile technology training center powered by an agreement between the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) and Textile & Engineering Institute of Ichalkaranji (DKTE) will be inaugurated at the DKTE. According to Raffaella Carabelli, President, ACIMIT, the training center will open up new business opportunities for the Indian market. The training centre is a part of the project Machines Italia financed by the Ministry for Economic Development (MiSE) and provides the transfer of equipment on loan from Italian manufacturers for a maximum of 3 years, as well as training courses along with a tour to Italy. Being considered a pioneering bridge between Italy and India in terms of textile technologies/machines, the project will facilitate a firsthand experience on the Italian machines for the students and provide quality education on latest machines from Italy.
