Yibin Grace, a prominent viscose producer, is making significant strides towards sustainability with the introduction of a cutting-edge viscose testing line made with 50 per cent recycled textiles.
This material is comprised of Circulose pulp, marking the highest recycled textile content achieved in a viscose staple fibre by Yibin Grace.
The 50 per cent Circulose blend is eco-conscious, emitting five fewer tonnes of carbon per tonne of fibre compared to traditional alternatives, and requiring 90 per cent less water during production.
In an ambitious collaboration with Renewcell, and CanopyStyle, Yibin Grace is actively working to mitigate the environmental impact of viscose production.
This collaboration syncs with the Yibin Grace’s prior collaborations, with Ekman and Renewcell on recycled cellulose filament yarn produced by combining 30 per cent recycled textile pulp with 70 per cent FSC-certified fibre.
Deng Min, Chairman of Yibin Grace commented, “We are so pleased to deepen our collaboration with Renewcell, and to be creating a versatile staple fibre with high recycled content that will help safeguard ancient and endangered forests.”
CEO of Renewcell, Patrik Lundstrom remarked, “We believe that the increase in uptake of Circulose pulp to create viscose products will alleviate pressure on vital forests and our climate and solve the world’s textile waste problem in the process.”
