Established with support from GIZ by BGMEA, the Responsible Business Hub (RBH) successfully conducted two impactful training sessions recently titled Training on Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence.
The sessions aimed to onboard 25 factories with 44 participants, enhancing their comprehension of compliance with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.
Specifically focused on Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD), the sessions were held at the BGMEA Complex.
Certificates were awarded to participants who completed the training sessions, a ceremony presided over by BGMEA President Faruque Hassan.
The event was attended by BGMEA Senior Vice President S. M. Mannan (Kochi), Vice President Shahidullah Azim, Directors Faisal Samad, Abdullah Hil Rakib, Navidul Huq, Rajiv Chowdhury, and Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Trade Fair Mohammad Kamal Uddin.
Led by RBH, the training emphasised capacity building for compliance, environment, and sustainability managers across diverse factories.
Participants gained valuable insights into terminologies and processes related to human rights and environmental due diligence, empowering them to assess risks within their operations and supply chains.
