One of the biggest exporters of apparel from Bangladesh, Team Group, and its two garment factories were recently acknowledged as safe and compliant production facilities by the RMG Sustainability Council (RSC). Letters of Recognition (LoRs) have been awarded to the factories following their correction of non-compliance issues found during the initial inspections by the buyers’ council, which was established to oversee workplace safety in RMG businesses.
According to the company’s statement, it announced that a Letter of Recognition from the RSC (RMG Sustainability Council) was recently received by their two factories. The letters were received from the MD of RSC by Md Abul Kalam Azad, Head of Engineering, and Khandker M Imam, Head of HR, Admin & Compliance (4A), on behalf of Team Group.
Three incorporation members, one for each of the three industry constituents global fashion companies, local and international trade unions, and industry formed the RSC. International fashion firms now pay close attention to where their suppliers come from and always give preference to those who guarantee safe working conditions for their employees. Reaching the LoR signifies a significant accomplishment for the factory management in their efforts to guarantee safety, which in turn increases the business’s sustainability.
TEAM Group owns and runs five RMG factories, including 4A Yarn Dyeing Ltd., a LEED Platinum-certified factory & Brothers Fashion Ltd, a LEED GOLD Certified factory.
