Trident Group, a global conglomerate with a turnover of over US $ 2 billion, has launched the ‘Takshashila’ program, a new initiative aimed at recruiting and training 2,000 young people from rural and semi-urban areas across India. This program focuses on providing employment opportunities and skill development for individuals from diverse educational backgrounds, including ITI, diplomas, and 10+2 education.
The Takshashila Program is designed to break down educational barriers, allowing participants to earn, learn, and grow. It fosters a culture of continuous improvement and personal development. Successful trainees can expect a starting salary of up to Rs. 12 lakh per annum, offering significant opportunities for those with basic educational qualifications—a unique approach in corporate India.
Rajinder Gupta, Emeritus Chairman of Trident Group, stated, “The launch of Takshashila marks a significant step in our commitment to social development, economic upliftment, diversity, inclusion, and nation-building.” He also highlighted that the program reserves 50 per cent of its seats for women and gives special preference to candidates from economically weaker backgrounds, defence service veterans, and national-level sportspersons.
